Ernest Smith |
Former St. Ann South West Member of Parliament, Ernest Smith had a narrow escape from what could have been a fatal incident today. Those who I spoke with and who are close to him, said that it was a close shave for the former JLP MP. Reports are that he was heading to the doctor and his car got out of control and went over a precipice in Lime Tree Gardens in St. Ann. Information obtained from a reputable source, indicate that his car careened off the road and went tumbling down a very steep precipice. The fall was broken by a tree at the side of the precipice.
From all indications, Mr. Smith has not suffered any internal or other serious injuries and his full recovery is expected soon.
Ernest Smith is a lawyer and he is very popular in St. Ann where he won the seat for the Jamaica Labour Party.
