Careful Of What We Read On Social Media
It seems as if this lady was in the wrong and I feel that she should have talked quietly to the officers to see what they could have done to assist her. She could call a taxi to take her with her child to the hospital or she could also walk it to the hospital, since it seems to me that the hospital was close by.
I would love to hear the police side of the story, but until I hear the police's side, I will state the following: When the police is carrying out their jobs they must have a heart but they cannot put others at risk by having a heart. For example, suppose the police gave the woman a chance and allowed her to continue on her way to the hospital and then the car hits someone and that person dies. What if the car is not insured nor is the fitness certificate current?
I am very distressed to hear how women behave nowadays especially towards men. I believe that had this lady, or woman behaved like a sweet and charming lady she might have moved the hearts of those officers to even go further to assist her. Remember that officers have to deal with hard core gun men and an undisciplined people on a daily basis.
One thing that I am sure of is that something is very wrong with our people. It is not a police thing or a civilian thing it is a national problem. Finally I hope that when the story was posted it was not intended to be vindictive. I also hope that a report was first made to the police high command

The police has the alternative of discretion... A mother with her child on the way to the hospital is already tressfull enough for the mother.... The police should have wished her well and jet her drive on. She could have dealt with the license when she knew that her child is okay!!! Btw, do men know what a mother feels when her child is sick????....and where was the father of the child????
I was of the impression that police is to serve and protect, but it really depends on who they sworn to serve and protect. They could have assisted the lady to the hospital, it's government car they are driving and those cars are not licensed or insured either. Charge her and let her help her child. That's is why Rasta call police beasts.
Police all over the democratic world have always discretionary power to warn.In recent times a cop on our roads said "dem tings deh done wid long time" I don't believe he is correct and it is something the Ministers of Justice ,Security and also the high command should address.It can't be the exclusive domain or discretion of "LEFT or WRITE".
I have obtained further information. I am fully convinced that the police did their best but the woman is a difficult woman and so is her son. That car should have been off the road a long time ago. If she had hit down and crippled someone on the road or even killed someone then that person and their relatives could end up with a big medical bill which they could not pay for. She is concerned about her child but not concerned about other road users. She needs to post on Instagram and all the social media pages and state when last the car was licensed, insured and the fitness done. It would cost her far less and she would not but others at risk if she had taken a taxi.
