Professor Verene Shepherd, UN Official and Mayor Norman Scott for SpotOn - February 20, 2023

Professor Verene Shepherd

It is another informative SpotOn on Monday, February 20, on Riddim FM broadcasting on the FM band at 102.1, 102.3, 102.5, 102.7 and 102.9. Professor Verene Shepherd is a Professor at UWI and she is also a UN official. She joins me to talk about history - what she had to unlearn in order to learn our history. Professor Shepherd has been involved in broadcasting for many years and she hosted and produced a radio show in Jamaica, called Talking History.

Mayor Norman Scott

Mayor Scott will join me at 1020 to look at the challenge of vending in the Spanish Town. Recently, there was confrontation between vendors and the municipal police. The police had to fire a warning shot to prevent officers from more serious attack. I will also ask the Mayor if he is aware of any plans to develop Spanish Town as a major historical city not just for Jamaicans but also for visitors.

Remember to send you your voice mails to 876 816-5261 about consumer matters and about challenges you are having with the public or the private sector entities.  SpotOn is in touch with leaders in the political arena, the private and also the public sector. We will leave no stone unturned until your issue has been addressed.

Professor Shepherd is always a breath of fresh air to listen to, she's so delightful and bright, and don't talk about her attire, always up.
I missed Mr Scott segment, Spanish town and the bypass is a big big mess, Mr Derby I send you stuff from time to time, but I get fed up it's too much to send, I don't see what Mr Scott is doing
