Gunmen Strike Again in Portmore Today!!!

Injured person being assisted.

With each passing day, the criminals continue to be at it. Yes they have struck again today in Portmore. Once again, I am calling on the government to set up a National  Anti Crime Organization with representatives from all parishes. The aim of this organization would be to organize Jamaicans from the grass root level to:

  • Identify criminals living in the various areas.
  • Lead communities in getting communities to turn their backs against the criminals.
  • Make recommendations to the state on how to deal with crime.
  • Provide a national network for providing real-time information from the various communities.
  • Organize workshops to train community persons how to deal with the problem of crime at the local level.
  • Work with district constables in seeking to protect their communities.
  • Organize local community elders who are JPs to be mediators for local domestic issues. This JPs would have limited powers in terms of giving specific directions to persons who are brought before them.
  • Provide feedback to the nation on the performance of the police force in the various communities.

Jamaica must now unite against the criminal elements and we must make sure that criminals do not feel comfortable to even hide in the deepest underground cave. We need to deal with crime similar to how we dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic.

WIN WIN WIN

I have 10 tickets to give away on SpotOn this week, to some talented Jamaicans to see the play Anancy & Pinocchio. Send me a hilarious video by WhatsApp that you have made using your camera to (876} 816-5261. The video should be no longer that three minutes and not shorter than 1 minute. This could be a video of a skit, someone doing a comedy routine, or a short story narrated by someone. The top videos will be posted on Bark Di Trute, and will be circulated to persons who could possibly give you a break in the entertainment world.

They will continue if nothing is done to stop them. The National Anti-Crime Organization is a great idea.
