Press Release from the Jamaica Labour Party:
Hon. Horace Chang |
Kingston, Jamaica - July 10, 2023 - The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) acknowledges the recent decisions made by three People's National Party (PNP) Councillors to resign from the PNP, although they will continue to serve in their roles within the Westmoreland Municipal Corporation. The PNP Councillors who have tendered their resignations are as follows:
1. Ian Myles - Little London Division
2. Garfield James - Sheffield Division
3. Laughton McKenzie - Grange Hill Division
Dr Chang reaffirms the Jamaica Labour Party's strong presence and commitment to serving the parish of Westmoreland. As the governing party, the JLP remains dedicated to implementing effective policies and initiatives that will benefit the local communities, foster growth, and improve the lives of the people.
The JLP expresses its gratitude to the residents of Westmoreland for their unwavering support and trust in the party's ability to lead. The JLP remains committed to upholding its core values of accountability, transparency, and inclusivity as it continues its efforts to bring about positive change and progress for all.
