My position on the matter is as follows:
- Society has a right to organize itself according to its customs, practices, and beliefs of the people.
- People have a right to do what they do behind closed doors.
- People do not have a right to force their beliefs or practices on the majority of the people.
- The nuclear family is the smallest social unit which is the building block of society. Society, therefore, has a right to decide what constitutes a family and what does not.
We need to stop wasting time pushing these sexual matters when society has other urgent matters that need attention. We must also stop wasting time arguing with those who have their own agenda. It is just a complete waste of time and energy.
You should guess that I wrote this piece based on the alleged diplomatic row between the US and Jamaica about a same-sex couple being assigned diplomatic duties in the country. My belief is that social media and traditional media are making a mountain out of a molehill.
We should hear from the US Embassy this afternoon about this matter. Interesting days are ahead. In the meantime let's concentrate on the various problems that are affecting our beautiful country, Jamaica Land We Love.

I am in agreement with most of your points Vernon.
We have male, female and abnormal people. In the future we will have intelligent life like androids. We should give support to the abnormal people but with limitations.
How did this news get out? Who colt the game? Who cares about these people and their sexual choices? Don't we have more important things to be focussing on? Why all this big concern.
U.S.A knows that homosexuality is not legal here, so why would they send a same sex dignatary here?! That's disrespectful if it's true
