As of Monday, September 4, my programme SpotOn With Vernon Derby hits the airwaves and the Internet from 1300 to 1600 hours EST, Monday to Friday. That is 1 pm to 4 pm in Jamaica. In Florida, we broadcast at 101.9 FM in Coral Springs.

*Economic Power
gives Real Political Power*
In trying to understand the SSL saga be aware that
" he who has economic power has real political power"
Those Oligarchs who own 95% of the Jamaican economy are the real political leaders.
We on the plantation mainly blacks do the work and foot those bills via taxes.
The oligarchy pays no taxes namely hotels,large farms, manufacturing,
wholesale and retail enterprises,
political leaders and add other duty free concessions to all those packages.
Any way you take it Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) will win.
Remember the PM was a part of the SSL and got out just in time.
People get squeezed with Bolt among them.
One has to be conscious as to how the Jamaican plantation economy works and in full operation.
Slavery is capitalism and Capitalism is slavery with the cosmetic illusion of Freedom.
Who benefited from slavery,
emancipation in 1838 and Independence 1962 then ask ourselves "are we either emancipated or gained independence"?.
People are being hoodwinked into believing that Emancipation and Independence are about celebrating the freedom to eat,sleep,
procreate, dance,whine,wine,defecate and steal.
Jamaica is 98% with blacks owning a depleting 5% of the economy.
That 2% non black mainly own an ever increasing 95% of the economy.
Jamaica sits on a time bomb with increasing crime and murders being symptomatic of further economic,social degradation and marginalization of people with mainly African ancestry.
SSL saga must be understood against that socioeconomic,
cultural and class maelstrom.
SSL oligarchy are winning and the slaves on the plantation will be and are footing that bill.
Again he who has economic power has the power to make or break political puppets and it is they who run the country.
The people of Jamaica are trapped, a third of the population being squatters mainly blacks allegedly over a million people.The change revolution has not even started to gain emancipation and Independence.
Get up stand up,stand up for your rightful place in the Jamaican society.
