I just got a report that a man was killed this morning in Chudleigh, Manchester. The murders are now touching on areas which are normally seen as relatively peaceful.
There is definitely the need to mobilize the nation against the criminals. There is need for a reserve police force and more social workers in our communities.

Information coming in subsequently is that the the dead man was taken down by members of the security force and a gun was taken from him.

Criminals and criminality have no borders. No ends of education, police vigilance, legislation, and employment will prevent criminals from operating in our society. Unfortunately the structures in society such as the family breeds these criminals by receiving the fruits of their criminality, hiding them, washing bloody clothing,and demonstrating when police kill them as they re proclaiming their innocence.
I am so afraid to go out now a days because these animals are all over the place we no safe at all no where
We need to ask ourselves why is it Jamaica is so adept at producing criminals. It's like we have an assembly line. There is something that we are not doing right, and we need to face up to it. Yes, we need the police to be mobilised for a counter offensive against crime, but we need to get to the source of the production line and halt the manufacturing of criminals. We are always clamouring for the police and the government to do more, but I wish I could hear louder cries for us as a nation to tackle the crisis we have in the Jamaican family. That there is the real problem. The criminals are products of very weak family structures all around. So the police take out one criminal, there are 20 more to take his place. We need a national programme to help many Jamaicans to understand that ideally, a child needs both parents and that it is stressful for mothers to do it alone and that a mother cannot teach a boy how to be a man and that girls need their fathers too and that a father is more than a sperm donor and someone who doles out money. Weak families and poor values feed crime.
