Dr Goodwin Friday has toppled the long-standing Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves. The island will now start getting used to a government led by the New Democratic Party (NDP).
Dr Goodwin, the leader of the NDP, will become the seventh prime minister since the island became independent in 1979. He will give the United Labour Party (ULP) a break after they led the country for a quarter-century.

ReplyDeleteIt's a welcome change. The people were fed up with that government. One man shouldn't run a country for 25 years. They begin to think it's theirs. It reminds me of when the PNP ran this country to the ground.

Couldn't agree with you more. The PNP still thinks that thus country is their's, that's why they tend to come across as too desperate for power.
