FI WI CONCERNS 20150824 – MICHAEL SPENCE

Terror in Montego Bay

Terror reigned in several Montego Bay communities in the early hours of yesterday morning as marauding gunmen went on a rampage, killing two persons and damaging several cars while hundreds of residents cowered in fear in their homes according to a Gleaner article. Time to consider the nurturing of ’ETHICAL DONS' because like a plumber is not expected to do good cabinetmaking a law abiding policeman/citizens are not efficient in solving the problems of criminality. There is precedent in the hiring of "Ethical Hackers" .That is why DONS can have crime free communities they usually have a better handle on criminals and their doings.. We should stop burying our heads in the sand and act with swift practicality. The terrain in many of these places cannot be policed effectively they need a helicopters as a first responders no police is going to walk into unknown danger so you will catch no one. 24/08/15.

Bolt

Bolt's winning edge is that he has not only physical strength but superior mental strength that gives him the ability to have a WINNING, EFFICIENT AND INTENSE FIXITY OF PURPOSE more than his competitors. 24/08/15.

Politics

Will western Jamaica now become the headquarters for the JLPNP third party a sort of PNP breakaway inhabited by disgruntled labourites? Does the PNP really figure out what is happening and as Montague suggested that one day you could see a PNP platform full of labourites. Interesting times ahead or is it what you call "creative destruction".24/08/15

JUTC

The Reverend Dr. Garnett Roper stated that the Police High Command should honour recruits for honesty, discipline and fairness, but taxpayers' money should not be used to reward persons in a secular entity for displaying any religious principle. Couldn’t agree with Mr. Roper more these thoughts and ideas seem more competently put together than those that influence the operations of the JUTC. 22/08/15

IMF

The Jamaican Government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are having discussions with a view to relaxing some of the targets under the four-year extended fund facility. Good strategy from the IMF then after the election win by the Government in power they resume or "tun up" the pressure on the Jamaican people again until the next election. I wonder aloud is the IMF pro PNP or pro JLP any party can convert them it better for their election fortunes. At least we are good borrowers even if we a dead off we pay we debt to the IMF and associates. No better no deh, hope dead fi hungry time won’t come because as long as we a pass test and lend we money fi we gwaan eat a food but without increased investment and production we corner still well dark future generations will be in a pickle or have to run weh even if we scrape through and stay a yaad. Bway it nuh pretty watch out.22/08/15

Migrating Criminals

Can you imagine, an alleged gunman was killed and three others captured after a brazen shoot-out in Falmouth on or about the 21st of August 2015. One of the captured men was admitted to hospital in critical condition. A gun was also recovered. This is the capital of the rural parish of Trelawney in Jamaica. These criminals have migrated I am sure from Kingston to all over Jamaica making Kingston now safer than cool spot rural areas becoming hot spots. The authorities should have been developing methods to insulate rural areas so that there is no safe haven. People should be sensitized not to harbor criminals even if he is your long lost relative who have been living a life of criminality elsewhere coming to cool out and usually not staying cool themselves for long. The charge of harboring a criminal must be rigidly policed and enforced. The matter of a comprehensive national identification system would be of great help and needs to be rapidly pursued and this needs no excessive divine intervention. 22/08/15
