NWC/Miya CONTINUES NON-REVENUE WATER REDUCTION PROGRAMME


The National Water Commission is advising that as part of its ongoing Non-Revenue Water Reduction programme being carried out with Co-Management Partners Miya International, the company will be conducting emergency pipeline work that will impact several sections of the Corporate Area.
These works are slated to facilitate valve and meter installations which will result in water supply disruptions to the following areas:

Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 (Overnight)

Areas include:-            Constant Spring, Norbrook, Cherry Gardens, Liguanea, Lady Musgrave Road Manor Park, Shortwood, Eastwood Park Gardens, Molynes Road, Waltham Park Road, Olympic Way, Bayfarm Road, Hagley Park Road, Washington Boulevard, Dunrobin Avenue, Calabar Mews, Ziadie Gardens, State Gardens, Mannings Hill Road, Constant Spring Road and Gardens, Half Way Tree, Camperdown Terrace, Spanish Town Road and Havendale, Valentine Gardens, Meadowbrook, Queensboro and Roehampton

Other areas include:  Rock Pond, Red Hills, Brentwood, Leas Flat, Belvedere, Mosquito Valley, Sterling Castle, Forest Hills, Perkins Boulevard, Meadowbrook Estate, Leas Flats, Brentwood, Sterling Castle Heights, East Kirkland Heights, Burnside Valley, Red Hills Square, Belvedere and Kirkland.


Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am on Friday, July 13, 2018 (Overnight)

Areas include:-            Sections of Down Town Kingston to include: Orange Street, Charles Street, Luke Lane, Princess Street, Mathews Lane, Pink Lane, Bond Street, Chestnut Street, Ocean Boulevard, Beckford Street, Hanover Street, Banana Street, Vauxhaul Avenue and Sections of Trench Town

Other areas include:    Pines of Karachi, Long Mountain, Beverly Hills, Cross Roads, Harbour View, Port Royal, Seven Miles, Mountain View, Vineyard Town, Deanery Road, Elleston Road, Liguanea, Old Hope Road, Monroe Road, Langston Road, Glenmore Road, Shooters Hill and Surroundings, Rockfort, Windward Road, Palisadoes and Airport
Hope Pastures, Gordon Town, Mona Heights, Ravina, Liguanea, Standpipe Lane, Hope Road, Up Park Camp, East Kings House, Charlemont Avenue, Barbican Road, New Kingston to include Dominica Drive, Oxford Road, Haining Road

Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (Daytime)

Areas include:-            Sections of Down Town Kingston to include: Orange Street, Charles Street, Luke Lane, Princess Street, Mathews Lane, Pink Lane, Bond Street, Chestnut Street, Ocean Boulevard, Beckford Street, Hanover Street, Banana Street, Vauxhaul Avenue and Sections of Trench Town

Customers are being encouraged to store water for use during the disruption period specified. Additionally, motorists and pedestrians are being advised to observe the traffic signals of the work crews on the various work sites.
The National Water Commission (NWC) further advises that in addition to these planned and announced interruptions in service, disruptions may also occur in parts of the Corporate Area due to unannounced emergency work, breaks to pipelines, air blockages, immediate responses to issues on the network, localized problems or other changes resulting from the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction programme which is ultimately aimed at dramatically improving the water supply system in Kingston and St. Andrew.
The National Water Commission apologises for any inconvenience that these improvement works may cause.
