BROKEN MAIN IMPACTS WATER SUPPLY IN ST. ANDREW

HOPE PASTURES AND SURROUNDINGS TO BE AFFECTED

National Water Commission (NWC) customers who are served by the Hope Filter Plant are currently experiencing a disruption in normal water supply because of a broken main in the vicinity of Hope Pastures. In order to facilitate the repairs, operations at the Plant have been temporarily suspended in order to accommodate the work which is expected to be completed by today Friday June 28, 2019 at 2pm.

Areas to be affected include: Hope Pastures and environs

Customers in the affected areas are being urged to monitor hydration levels of the elderly and children as the predicted increase in daily outdoor temperatures may cause some challenges, especially in the absence of normal water supply.

The NWC regrets any inconvenience that this necessary repair work may cause to its valued customers and will provide and update, if necessary, on this situation.
