Member of Parliament for Saint Andrew East Rural, Most Hon. Juliet Holness was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Mr. Heroy Clarke, Member of Parliament for St. James Central has been elected as the Deputy Speaker.

The nominations were made by Hon. Delroy Chuck, Minister of Justice, and seconded by Leader of Opposition Business, Mr. Phillip Paulwell.

Both the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker are two-term Members of Parliament for their respective constituencies. Most Hon. Juliet Holness previously served as Deputy Speaker of the House.
