Please be advised that due to the ongoing heavy rainfall in the upper watershed, the Rio Cobre water level has risen to 8.5 feet. As a result, the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) will be closing the flood control gate for the Bog Walk Gorge to prevent potential flooding and ensure public safety.
We urge everyone to take necessary precautions and avoid the area until further notice.

I hope no unruly people don't try opening it to cross, because it has happened before.
The best thing to do is close it
