In recent years we noticed that one artiste who was incarcerated overseas was given red-carpet treatment on his return. There is another artist who is now incarcerated overseas and we should not be surprised if he gets a hero's welcome when he returns to the island also.
We notice that even in the corporate world they are promoting persons who are not fit to be mentors for our young people.
Jamaicans need to make a statement to the world that we are ready to show the best behaviour and talents of our island - not the worst. If we do not stand for something we will fall for anything.

I realise I must have missed something so I have to ask. Why are we to boycott it ?
Incarcerated does not mean one is guilty! Many innocents have been murdered by the state and many more imprisoned for decades unjustly!
I wonder who made that point about being incarcerated. The host of this post is in touch with what is happening across Jamaica. Don't underestimate what I know.

We MUST draw the line somewhere or face the consequences. We are already reaping what we sow and facing some serious consequences simply because we accept bad as good and reject good as bad.
Let's boycott Jamaica House and the Parliament instead.

It would have been better if you had said boycott both. This is the point I'm always making. We condemn the corruption of politicians and are always willing to turn a blind eye to everybody else's cause "man affi get a bligh" or "a so di ting set" and "man affi eat a food". Even if the PM is guilty, for goodness sakes, it doesn't excuse everybody else. Two wrongs don't make a right. And if sumaddy jump inna fire, it no mean seh yuh fi jump inna fire too. Jeez!!!

The incarcerated person are people too, my God man, they did their time, so are we to cheat them less of a person because they went to prison?? Are we to cheat them like the Corona virus? Everybody make mistakes no one is perfect. I Don't want a jamaica discriminate a person because of their incarceration. Them do them time!!
I agree. We must boycott anyone or anything the support Kartel and his former lawless activity. Its only a technical issue why he is out of the lockup. I my opinion and in the opinion of Bunting, based on the past speech he made Kartel was guilty. Its this government who drop the ball & never amend the law why Kartel is free today. 🌞
I am one person and I have come up with an initiative. I take on what I can manage. If persons have other ideas why not organize other activities to support your positions? That would be great!
I agree with you Mr. Derby. Chat you chat, bark u bite and take back neither chat nor bark/bite. We are full of nonsense and that's why we glorify murderers, rapists, thieves, child killers, and women beaters et al. We are the same ones who say we a comrade for life or labourite for life irrespective of the wrong doings of our elected representatives. We do not elect our representatives objectively.
Why is the Prime Minister and his government proposing changes to the Integrity Committee at this time? First, they ought to resolve the findings of the IC, especially those pertaining to him, then solicit public input, then debate any suggested changes prior to making ANY changes. His proposal for changes at this time seems fishy ...
