Letter to the Prime Minister
The Most Honourable Dr Andrew Holness,
Mr Prime Minister, I commend you for the work that you and your cabinet have been doing. Your government has achieved significant milestones in maintaining a stable economy, improving our infrastructure and the debt to GDP ratio. Few understand that this will eventually create a stable economy benefitting all of us. Mark my word, Mr PM, that alone itself will not ensure your government will be seated on the winning side in parliament after the next elections.
There is a need for love and care for one another. The crude behaviour at home in our schools and in society is depressing the whole nation. There is little respect for the elderly and for law and order.
Public servants should start to serve the people like they have never served before. All these public servants must held accountable to the people and be able to speak directly to the people. If they fail then let them pack their bags and go.
Let leaders set the tone for a better society. Set the ideals, set the examples, and put in place a system which encourages better values and attitudes. Don't get preoccupied with people labelling politicians as corrupt because we the people are no better. Lead the way so that corruption and crime can be a thing of the past.
Some people reading this will jump on me and say I am fighting down the leaders. My response is inept leaders do not need my help to fight them down. My criticism is meant to improve things for our country and for all of us. Yes, we have changed parties periodically and now is the time to change our country and our people.
All our leaders must start to show love to one another and to the people who they seek to serve. They must respect the people and allow the technocrats to share information with the people. Too often we hear of technocrats who cannot share information with the public because they did not get authority from someone high up.
I hope that you have time to read my letter Mr PM and I will send another letter to the leader of the Opposition also. You can start the change by ensuring that the public servants deal with the case in the video below. We are happy for the new buses but the behaviour of many transport operators on the road smells like cabbage left to rot in the field for a long time.

Crime is any behaviour that attracts a fine or imprisonment.
ReplyDeleteA traffic ticket is issued to certified traffic criminal.
Most Jamaicans are criminals the transport operators are just one secular sector.
We Must all endeavor our personal best to dash weh criminal behavour and lifestyle to make Jamaicaca most civilized habitat for humanity.
Crime is a huge fast growing and attractive industry at least 10% of GDP.Larger than Agriculture, mining or manufacturing taken separately.
If you eliminate crime today those in the ligitimate sector and b then the illigitimate sector would suffer and perhaps a rebellion breaks out.
Think on these things myJamaican brothers and sisters.
Reducing crime is a cooperative strategy not simply a SOE solution.
Be reminded that in 1962 the yearbof Independence there were 63 murders in all Jamaica.
60 years later we were celebrating with1498 dead/murdered bodies.
So sad hope they charge that driver that was wrong👹
ReplyDeleteWell Said Mr Derby We Need to show more for each .
ReplyDeleteWe need to bring back the love for each other .we wouldn't be killing off one another like enemy
ReplyDeleteMy issue is no society can prosper without proper values and attitude, all that this PM is doing if our moral decay as a society continues all gain financially, structurally will become vain,he needs to buckle his lions and stand up for values and principles.
