St Mary Country Club |
When our utility companies do not perform we blast them therefore when the workers perform and make their organization looks good, we must commend them. Thanks to my supporter from St. Mary who sent in a message giving thanks for getting back their water supply in her area. Thanks to the NWC and especially Ann Bolt at the NWC who has a habit of answering my messages at odd hours. She understand that water is life so she puts her life into it. Thanks to Ann for going the extra mile and to the other workers who ensure the people had water.
Message from the supporter:
Good morning Mr Derby. Attyia Bennett here. I am happy to report that piped water has returned to St Mary Country Club.Residents closer to the main road including me received water on Saturday afternoon whilst those further in received their's on Sunday night.

Hi Vernie. This Barry Williams. I was shocked to hear on the radio that the cash-rich JPS is asking the Jamaican Govt. to furnish it with US$26 million to defray the expenses it incurred in conducting repairs duriing hurricane Beryl. Is this company mad? Or do they believe that the Govt. and citizens of Jamaica are fools? As a company they reap great profits at our expense with their very exorbitant light bills. Now that they have incurred expenses and possible losses as a result of their work during and after hurricane Beryl, they are to hug up these expenses and losses. That is the nature of business!!! Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It is my experience that JPS has always been winning. Time for them to absorb some losses. Opposition Shadow Minister Philip Paulwell, has rightly come out and stated that JPS is not to get one cent from the Govt. I will be watching and listening very very keenly to see if the Govt. has the GONADS to refuse this latest request by the JPS. It is obvious that if they grant this request, the cost will only be passed on to us the consumers!!!
