Sheer Pandemonium at Dovecot: One Dead and Others Injured
It was sheer pandemonium at the Dovecot Cemetery on Monday afternoon, December 30, after 1415 hours.
The information is that a man who seems to be mentally challenged went berserk and attempted to disrupt the funeral. I have been informed that a mourner was hit with a block on his head, and the body of the deceased person was ripped from the casket. The man who disrupted the funeral started throwing stones at the mourners. A few licensed firearm holders tried to bring the situation under control until police officers arrived on the scene.
One man was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, while others were treated for injuries. I am just amazed that at a funeral there are young men there, and all I heard was screaming and shouting. A group of men could not have overpowered the man who seemed to have gone berserk.

I continue to receive interesting videos and pictures from supporters of Bark Di Trute. Sometimes it is impossible to verify the authenticity of these pictures and videos. Some are worth watching because there is something to learn from them.

The patience of the police force is certainly being tested these days. I notice that not only men are taking on the police, but women are also taking them on. That woman was begging long and hard for the police to illtreat her, but the officers were unwilling to grant her that wish. It is clear to me that this woman needs to see a psychiatrist! She should be taken to a community court immediately and tried and given at least three months of non-custodial service to clean up a street daily.
After Hurricane Season, We Have Fire Season
We are able to accurately predict when a hurricane will develop and the possible route. We know when we have the fire season, and the Fire Brigade should develop their prediction skills so that they can know when and where the next fire will be. At this stage, we can say that a few weeks before Christmas, it will be the Pearnel Fire, followed by the May Pen Fire, and the others will come after.
One lady who apparently suffered significant losses told the nation on news she lost a few deep-freeze refrigerators and other equipment she had in her business place. Can a government electrical inspector check to see if that area in the Constant Spring Arcade was wired to deal with that level of electrical usage?
I guess these business people don't need to worry, because the insurance agency (KSAMC) headed by Mayor Swaby and funded by taxpayers, will cover their losses. What a life, what a country. It is time the nation gets a report from the Fire Brigade as to why we have these fires. They should also make recommendations. If nothing is done, then I might have to give the Integrity Commission some work to do.

ReplyDeleteI have long held that these fires in mainly inner city communities and at arcades are due to electricity theft. Even before Desmond McKenzie said it I had been speculating as the instances are 99% isolated to certain communities and among a particular class. There is ALWAYS a cost for corruption and poverty should not be accepted as an excuse for no values. We seem to willing to accept the corrupt behaviour of persons who are not politicians, and we even reward them for it (e.g. rebuilding their shops with taxpayers money). Stealing is always wrong, regardless of who is doing it.
ReplyDeleteRegarding that woman and the police, she is clearly mental. She seems to have lost it. Far too many people in JA think it is actually OK to challenge the authority of the security forces. This is because far too many Jamaicans are being brought up in dysfunctional homes and are no longer benefiting from home training. Some don't even know that their behaviour is wrong cause they weren't taught certain values. Dysfunctional homes spawn a dysfunctional society, and all of us will be impacted by the negative consequences of this.

ReplyDelete" its a different world" that we are living in today what we are witnessing is not so much a physical matter but spiritual, we as a people have focus less on the spiritual even tho the spiritual side of us is as real as the physical, all these actions are a manifestation of a larger issue which is for the most part demonic, the sad reality is the more people allow themselves to use by these forces the worst it's going to be.
