I got information from very reliable sources that a judge at the Falmouth Court died under tragic circumstances.
Contact was made with the Falmouth Police, and they declared that they are not aware of the death. This is an indictment against the police at the station. A judge has died in the parish, and you are not aware!!! I have said ad nauseam that the more we conceal information, the more people will look to sources which might give false information.
I am putting it to the police officers who spoke to me tonight that they misled me. If they misled me, then their position in the JCF should be untenable. We expect officers to speak the truth, and nothing but the truth or else, so help me God, we are doomed. People will continue to mistrust police statements if they feel they are misled or if they feel that information is being concealed. I have been a strong supporter of the JCF for years, and I must admit that some things are not looking good.
Reports are that the judge was a very nice and caring person. If it is a case of suicide, then it means that many people either did not pick up any signs of things to come, or they were not perceptive enough.
Mr Commissioner, you have started on the right foot. Let there be openness and transparency, bearing in mind security concerns with the release of sensitive information. Any day the people are on the side of the police, badman haffi run wey. Mr Commissioner, you can make a difference.

If the Judge died I extend condolences to the family,the Justice system's associates, Jamaica and its people.
Sad indeed if that's the real news.
