A Brief Look at Jamaican Politics of The Past

Contributed

Under Prime Minister Edward Seaga, banks were pulling in a lot of savings. This is why so many coveted licenses were obtained under Prime Minister PJ Patterson. Insurance companies sold billions and broke global records. Manufacturing was the busiest in the eighties, after the sixties factory boom slowed down in the nineties.

PNPism saturated the minds of young adults that Seaga was a wicked foreign white oppressor who used the American CIA to take power from the messiah, Prime Minister Michael Manley. This was so resounding that the stubborn STENCH of the residue lingers in those who felt it could be viable still to now bring a real white PNP leader, ironically, to power over the black JLP leader groomed by Seaga. PJ the opportunist said Black Man Time though, intellectually, he is a white colonialist.
