Melissa Mis-information Worse Than Melissa Hurricane.

Aerial picture near Montego Bay.

There is a significant number of idlers and sick people who are sharing false information locally and overseas about what is happening after Hurricane Melissa. We cannot ignore these rumours. These rumours can negatively impact the level of support that the country needs and should get. Based on the reports that I get from persons who visited the devastated areas to assist, people are almost tumbling over one another to help. Churches, business places, workers at various offices, political parties, and the massive support from other countries and international organisations are unbelievable.

The people are happy for the support, and many are happy to be alive. People have no time to think about political parties and religious denominations, for example. They are just happy for the assistance. The people are not sitting down waiting for handouts. They have been trying to help themselves and help clear the roadways of debris.

In the midst of the people getting support and helping themselves, there is the satanic bunch, with shallow minds and heads, who continue to use social media to spread false information. I believe that their intention is to use social media to become international stars and to make big bucks.

The first misinformation I heard was that the opposition leader requested a helicopter to tour the devastated areas, and this was denied. I did not hear the opposition leader making that claim.

The opposition leader got a tour on the JDF helicopter.

He also got a tour on a private helicopter

Opposition leader's post.

One person from overseas told me that politicians ate the food that was sent for the people. Some politicians have suffered losses, and I understand that the Mayor of Black River lost his house. Some of these political leaders are out there trying to help, and they have not seen their homes for some time. Are we going to prevent them from eating the food when they have run out of supplies themselves? There is one female politician who has been seen in the mud, climbing up and down hills to get help for her people. Some politicians are using their personal resources to help others. I said to myself  I hope they all give a little of the increased income to help the people.

There is another story being circulated by the Satans, and that is that Jamaica received hundreds of generators, and the government is loaning them to the people rather than giving them. I heard from a credible source that the country received a small number of generators, and the emphasis is on assisting small businesses without power to provide services to the people. As soon as they get back power, these generators will be loaned to other small businesses. This makes sense to me.

I appeal to my friends in the diaspora and in Jamaica: don't jump and believe these rumours. Send me a WhatsApp message to (876) 816-5261. Remember that the devil always finds work for idle hands.

Someone just sent me another video about the generator story. This filthy-mouthed man in the video needs some Jeyes to wash out his mouth. He could not have a woman or a mother, and he is using terms linked to items used by women in a derogatory way.

It is just a waste of time for the prime minister and others to respond to this garbage. This is a waste, man!

I just saw a new bit of information regarding a social media report that someone was raped at a shelter in Westmoreland. The Daily Gleaner reports that the police have reported that they have found no evidence to substantiate this matter.

  1. It's quite unfortunate that some of our people allow themselves to be manipulated by the dark forces of the world. At a time when there's so much pain all around...where is the love?

I agree with you that they should be ignored.

  2. We see politics in everything when it's not even present. Someone called me last evening to denegrade the JDF regarding their inability to use the helicopters to distribute food in some areas three days post the storm. I refused to entertain the ranting and tried to explain that they are going into difficult areas, but they must identify areas in which they can land a helicopter. Having explained that, the person then moved on to bring politics again into the conversation. Again, I refused to entertain any discussion and pointed out that this is not the time for it. That said I moved on to discuss the implications of the disaster for the next five years. My caller, to my dismay, was not interested.
