From my observations, there are no friends in global geopolitics. There are alliances of convenience which change as circumstances demand.
Small countries are merely seen as pawns to be manipulated. When tariffs were being introduced, the fact that the US is supposed to be our "friend" made no difference, nor did the fact that we IMPORT MORE from the US than we export to them.
As for those who break the law, paying the consequences, surely that applies to everyone, including those who break international law? Or is it that if our 'friends' break the law, it's fine, but if others do so, they need to face the consequences?

LAWYER NEEDED
