Our Black Leaders Hate Us!

Contributed by Valerie Dixon

I wish every Jamaican could have their DNA testing done so that we can have proof that we are all related to one another. To calm their fears so that they could get some sleep at night. It became necessary for our slave owners to separate us and scatter us all over Jamaica.

This, they thought, would stop us from meeting and gathering and so make plans on how to unalive them, because we greatly outnumbered them.

This 'divide and rule' operation has come back to haunt and bite us, as we are and may forever be unable to trust and love each other.

As once described by a former Most Honourable Prime Minister, Jamaica is divided into 2 hostile tribes, perpetually at war with each other, fighting over scarce benefits and spoils. So instead of leading us to prosperity, our leaders continue to divide us and say, "Stick 'em," like we are dogs to fight each other. We are unable to realize that the ancient policy of 'Divide and Rule' has caused us to be unknown blood relatives, still after many generations fighting our blood relatives, and we are now further divided along political party lines.

To my mind, our Black leaders hate most or all of the 90% of the population so badly that it is almost impossible for the leaders from both political parties to rule in the interest of the Black majority. And to my mind, the Black majority, for the most part, hate themselves so much that many believe deep in their hearts that they are too Black to succeed. Suh dem hole dem cornah, which is at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder, and continue to fight dem one another for the scarce benefits and spoils.

  1. The reality is that people instead of human beings have become economic beings some happen to be negroid Caucasian or in between brown man or woman.

Not Unlike during slavery there c were Africans and Caucasions until on Emancipation Chinese Indians and other joined in as indentured labourers.

During Slavery the CEO/slave driver s were Caucasions until said slaves moved into those positions.
Now the Negro still aspires to be such CEOs brutalizing his own kind.

This slave driver has morphed into the Politician whose duty it is to keep the slaves now called citizens in line and in order.

The politician most times has no economic power and thus no real political power except that which is allowed enough to keep the slaves/ citizens in line.

Ok it's up to the reader to use their cognitive abilities to dig deeper to understand the political conundrum in motion.

Our politics is a vulgarization of what politics should be or is.
We have a kind of politifest.that creates an illusion and a facade as to who has political power.
    Be guided by :
"THOSE WHO HAVE ECONOMIC POWER HAS REAL POLITICAL POWER"(RPP) ,do you have RPP?.

  2. I wish us Black people would only take responsibility for ourselves and stop blaming others. The solution to anything is always outside of ourselves. Everything that's wrong with us is our leaders fault. We are all always victims. Hapless victims, it seems.

The day Jamaicans start to take responsibility for where we are as a country, the better off we will be. Even the behaviour of our politicians that we say we detest is our fault because we are enablers of some of the things they get away with - depending on the political party we support. Many Jamaicans, even so-called educated ones, allow themselves to be politicial pawns and are tribalistic in their thinking and actions. Garrison is truly in the mind.

We are the ones destroying this country. We are the ones destroying each other. In fact, many Jamaicans tear down and kill other Jamaicans, including their own family members because of envy and jealousy. The field slave vs the house slave mentality is alive and well. When we hinder each other's progress or we pass on nothing to the next generation, or perpetuate the single-mother culture which hampers our own progress or we fail to show love and support for each other and so we leave our elderly relatives in hospitals for other people to take care of and burden the state, or we hamper our country’s progress by stealing utilities (water, light etc.) or steal from the state by not paying our taxes, etc. etc. - when we continue to do things like these we only strengthen the narrative that us Black people are incapable of accomplishing much.
