Dr Alfred Dawes's Crude Statement!

Several persons have brought to my attention the crude and crass statement made by Dr. Alfred Dawes to Min. Desmond McKenzie a parliamentary committee meeting. He has subsequently apologized to Minister McKenzie. Dr Dawes said to Minister McKenzie that a man of his age should go home and play with his grandparents, which he corrected and said grandchildren.

This apology is neither here nor there to me. This man is supposed to know better and do better. He missed the boat when he conceded that his statement was in poor taste to Minister McKenzie. What Dr. Dawes missed is that his statement is an insult to all elderly people in the world who continue to serve. Dr Dawes is simply reflecting the lack of respect for the elderly in society. I have heard young people who need to learn from these elderly people say that these elderly people should go home.

If an elderly person can work, we should allow them to work. A poor country like Jamaica cannot afford to send people home who have talent and experience to go home and sit down.

I wonder what Dr Dawes thinks of his elderly patients.

 

Pastor Arrested!

A pastor arrested for his alleged involvement in a criminal offence? This must be fake news coming from a traditional media house! No sah, nutten can' go so. A seventy-year-old man is also involved. People woulda say, "Judgement a come."

I should not be shocked because I hear several men of the cloth being addressed as bishops and archbishops. Who gave them those titles? Some of them refer to themselves as Dr I wonder which university gave them that doctorate.

I am aware of a policewoman who was linked with the underworld, and she was accused of allowing the hoodlums to drive a police car. She was eventually kicked out of the police force, and she is now the minister of a church. Puppa Jesus, tek di case, What is your world coming to?

She was efficient in her delivery, and I observed people leaving with a smile. She effectively sorted out my problem, and I expressed my warm wishes to her. Keep your light shining, young Miss - more people like you are needed throughout Organizations.

If money has been taken from your bank account without your permission, this matter is a crime and should be reported to the police immediately. Ensure that you get a receipt from the police. The banks also need to investigate what is happening inside. Is it possible for customer information to be leaked to unscrupulous people?
