The society is never short on rumors, and Bark Di Trute cannot ignore some of these rumours. There has been a rumour that the former Miss World and minister of government in Jamaica under the PNP, Lisa Hanna, would return to the JLP. The new tune these days is that she will be appointed as an ambassador to the United States.
It would be interesting to hear what my Bark Di Trute readers think of the possibility of the Jamaican ambassador to the United States being Lisa Hanna.
Bark Di Trute has been pushing for the governor general to step down because he is ineffective and his presence is not being felt. Word is that he might step down soon because he is not in good health. Who do you think should be appointed to replace the current governor general?
There is also talk of Ministers Grange and McKenzie retiring from politics. Who should replace them? With the energy that Warmington has, I don't see him retiring from politics soon. He is the fire in the house. Bark Di Trute does not see the opposition leader lasting as leader of the PNP. Who can replace him?
This could be a time for some interesting changes in politics and other areas.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Mr. Haughton. Naming a hospital after Portia and appointing a PNP politician to ambassadorship may be what is needed to cast PM Holness as a non-tribalised political leader - and this is what Jamaica needs. I think it will go down well with most people on both sides of the political fence. They may see Mr. Holness in a different and refreshing light.

ReplyDeleteLisa is a master chess player, all her moves are well planned, orchestrated and executed. She has a vision for herself and I do believe she has a vision for Jamaica, however she has come to realise that any plan for Jamaica requires too much sociopolitical maneuvering so she had to pivot. Lisa is a fighter & strategist, she’s here to stay. Well done Lisa, keep going!
