There is a report of a strong earthquake, magnitude 7.4, that affected countries such as El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico at 9:48 am.
It is time that Jamaica start a very comprehensive earthquake awareness programme. We need to train first responders to assist when there is an earthquake. We also need to prepare information for the media to share with the public.
We await reports from these countries and will share the information with you.
