Terrorists Continue To Reign Terror In Some St Catherine Communities

The criminals continue to have a field day, and for some reason, I am not able to get support from enough people to bring pressure to bear on the authorities for action to be taken against these terrorists. There is far more support for those who it is alleged have been killed in confrontation with the police. The information I have is that these terrorists are staying at Waterloo Lane in Spanish Town. I am surprised that the people have not demonstrated against these thugs.

These men are known, and their pictures are available. I am sure that SSP Hopeton Nicholson will soon get on their case when he gets their detailed information. I hope that when they get into confrontation with the police and they lose their lives, we don't hear that they are innocent youths and di police dem wicked. I have enough information from citizens, so if you know them, tell them to cool it.

I received the following report from citizens about these terrorists:

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at about 8:45pm, about 6 men on foot with high powered weapons walk accross the the rio cobre from waterloo lane in to lauriston community of Bonanza Drive. They stop at a shop were some patrons were hanging out; they rob a lady a mechanic, and an elderly man,

They then proceed to lot 5c Bonanza drive were they enter the house were there was about 4 adults and 2 children they pull a elderly woman off her bed slap her in the head ransac the house took away money and phone too her daughter outside and slap her in the head an put her on her face demand her password and took her phone and her purse with money and her car papers.

The they took her son and beat him in his face and and all over his body and treaten to kill him they took his phone and number of goods that and over 200,000 they also fire a number of shots before leaving

I gather that these terrorists have been caught on camera while carrying out their evil deeds, so I will say to the men, "Fire, dey are a musmus tail, him tink a cool breeze." I am advising you to go to the police and confess your sins while you are still alive. I am appealing to people who know them to share this information with them.

On a sad note, residents believe that some police officers are protecting these terrorists, and therefore, they have reached out to me.

Breaking News For One Media Entity

The financial crunch is on, and its impact on business means that media houses will also have challenges. A source just told me that a well-known media house is having major challenges. They are about to lose one of their executives who is related to the head. Word is that "Miss Kitty shall return."

The real bad news is that the media house and its partner are undergoing divorce proceedings, and this could impact the viability of the station.

Bark Di Trute is concerned that several media personalities have declared that the death of Buju in Montego Bay is murder. The officer has not been tried and convicted in a court of law for murder. Could this result in libel cases for some media houses? How will this affect the viability of such media houses.

I have said before that some media personalities seem to be on the same road as some of the despicable social media content creators. Fire dey a musmus tail, im tink a cool breeze.

Another station, which is a religious station, has lost a few technical persons and also members of the executive. They raise their funding through begging, and Jamaicans don't seem to be giving that much. The creditors have been keeping a close watch at the gate.

While there are financial challenges at these media houses, including a very large one, I will give the following suggestions:

  1. Management personnel should leave broadcasting to presenters. It can create a challenge when broadcasters are competing with their bosses.
  2. Your talent is your product, and nothing else is. If you do not allow your product to shine, your station cannot shine.
  3. A degree does not make an outstanding broadcaster; it is the outstanding talent that will do the trick.
Interesting days are ahead. What do you think?

JTA Primary Schools Annual Sports To Feature Special Races For Athletes With Disabilities

Press Release From The JIS, May 27, 2026

Chairman, Sports Committee of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA), Winston Robinson, delivers remarks during the recent launch of the (JTA)/Sagicor National Athletics Championships.

The 2026 Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) National Athletics Championships will feature special needs races as part of efforts to make the annual primary-school competition more inclusive.

Chairman, Sports Committee of the JTA, Winston Robinson, said four special-needs races will be contested during the meet.

“[At] this year's JTA Sagicor Athletics Championships, we will be introducing four races for special needs athletes. We will be having two races for girls and two for boys,” Mr. Robinson said.

“We will have those athletes with special needs… running an 80m race in the following categories… 11 and under and 12 to 14 years. So that is our inclusion of that group,” he added.

Mr. Robinson told JIS News that the races will be held on the second day of the championships as part of the invitational segment of the programme.

The chairman indicated that the organisers have been working closely with the Jamaica Paralympic Association to guide the implementation of the initiative.

“We have started this process… .  We consulted the Paralympic Association for some guidelines…, hence we are where we are with these races,” Mr. Robinson said.

He further stated that since this is the first year the races are being introduced, focus will be placed primarily on special-needs schools in Kingston and St. Andrew to allow organisers to closely monitor the athletes.

Mr. Robinson also shared that discussions are ongoing about expanding the initiative in future stagings of the championships.

“We have been having some discussion as to how we can integrate those athletes on a wider scale. But for this year's event, that is what we will be doing,” he stated.

The championships will be held from June 26 to 27 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Medical Professionals From Ghana For Jamaica!!!

Press Release From The Ministry Of Health And Wellness, May 26, 2026

Jamaica has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Republic of Ghana. The Bilateral Agreement will support Jamaica in its efforts to address shortages in the health sector for nurses, including, specialised areas, even as the Government of Jamaica, through the Ministry of Health & Wellness makes significant investments building and redeveloping the health infrastructure.

According to Minister of Health & Wellness, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, CD, MP, “an agreement, such as this is not only in keeping with our Vision for Health 2030 plan but is fully aligned with the Ministry of Health & Wellness Jamaica’s Human Resource for Health (HRH) Stabilization Strategy and our National Development Plan (Vision 2030) to ensure the provision of quality health services and to promote healthy lifestyles and environmental practices, as we strive to attain and sustain a healthy people, healthy environment.”

The four-year agreement establishes a structured framework for the voluntary recruitment and temporary deployment of Ghanaian health professionals, particularly nurses and doctors, to support Jamaica’s healthcare system while promoting bilateral cooperation and ethical international recruitment practices.

The Agreement enables both countries to benefit from the strengthening of healthcare delivery in Jamaica; enhancing skills and experience of Ghanaian professionals; promoting international cooperation and ethical recruitment and supporting long-term workforce development in both countries.

Jamaica and Ghana will further strengthen their partnership in health, through additional technical cooperation in areas such as primary care reform, national health insurance, management of non-communicable diseases among others.  This partnership will allow both countries to share knowledge, expertise and resources to advance our mutual health outcomes.

“Today is a good day for public health and for international cooperation in health as this signing is an important step that will shape the future of healthcare for both countries. It is another tangible demonstration of partnership in public health and a prime example of how countries can work together for the betterment of all interests. Jamaica has and continues to enjoy a fruitful relationship with the Republic of Ghana and I have no doubt our ties, after today will go deeper and grow stronger,” the Minister added.

In thanking the Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade, Senator Hon. Kamina Johnson-Smith, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade team and the Ministry of Health & Wellness personnel, Dr. Tufton noted that a Joint Implementation and Monitoring Committee will oversee recruitment, deployment, welfare, and programme implementation under this Agreement.

The Minister of Health & Wellness is currently leading a technical team, including the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Errol Greene and the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jacquiline Bisasor McKenzie and other senior officials from the Ministry of Health & Wellness in Ghana attending the Third Session of the Ghana-Jamaica Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation convened with Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade.

Editor's Note

My recommendation made before still stands. The government should set aside a fund for the training and development of persons in areas of shortage. The medical profession is one such area. Funding should be provided through the Students' Loan Bureau to sponsor the training of these Jamaicans. After graduation and being qualified to practice, they would be bonded to serve in the public sector for several years. The aim would be to not only supply our needs for doctors but also to export some of these doctors.

Parliamentarians Please Stop The Cass Cass

There is too much concentration on the self in the House of Parliament these days. Parliamentarians doing the nation's business must all learn to humble themselves. Parliamentarians don't need to jump on every statement made by other parliamentarians when there are important national issues that the people are concerned about.

I think that MP Nekeisha Burchell's comments about the Speaker of the House are probably the lowest a parliamentarian can go. Even when you clothed such statements in analogies, wi know what yu a say MP Nekeisha.

It is a waste of time for the MPs on the other side to respond. The people of this country heard Nekeisha, and I believe that the majority of Jamaicans are embarrassed by the statement. I have received comments from persons who are party supporters and those who are not.

There is no need for Miss Burchell to apologize to Speaker Holness, but she should consider the impact of her interviews. Her political future is not looking bright at this time.

I would suggest that MP Burchell take a break from the limelight and assess herself and her image. During that time, she could write a document on preserving our Jamaican culture and taking it to the world. For example, we have moved from eating Jamaican foods to embracing the foods and lifestyle from up North. I have no doubt that this is negatively impacting our health. This is something to champion, MP Burchell.

Bark Di Trute Alert!

If you get a link saying Jamaica Demands Accountability with an address https://jamaicademands.netlify.app1/, do not input your information on this site. The site does not say who has sponsored the site. You should not be giving your information on a site that you cannot identify the owner of the site.

I have already indicated in another blog as to what I believe is happening in the country. Yesterday, I received the second fake information about an islandwide transportation strike. There are some people who are trying to ride on the Buju shooting in Montego Bay.
