Dear Mr. EditorYou have to look at the serious gas problem that is affecting the public at this time and help us to handle a new BAD GAS SCANDAL. Mr. Editor, nobody seems to know where the polluted gas came from; nobody, especially govt. ministers can find the culprits who sold the mixed-up gas; nobody will point to the big man who broke wind in public. Now the place stinks and there is another cover- up- of- friends- and- family while the smell spreads. When we were young, some fifty years ago, a thick black substance oozed from the earth and local scientist shouted 'oil'. Older Jamaicans withdrew in prayer; sure that the end was near. Mr. Editor, desperate entrepreneurs could be pumping from that untreated source. I know unsuspecting, poor people who have suffered loss from stopping at certain gas stations and buying mash-up-car gas. Now the powers that be, full of wind and talk and meetings, refuse to name the source of the stink and are busy protecting vendors who are selling poor-quality gasoline to us. This cover up smells like the dead-babies scandal and the nation's secret society is at work again trying to hide names and numbers. Somebody knows who the bad-gas villains are and will tell us today. We will wait for another 24 hours. Take care, Mr. Editor, and remember not to break gas in public. Some fearless, small boy is going to bawl out your name. Just wait and see.
Yours truly,
Mills Blake
