Aircraft Crashed in Clarendon

January 23, 2021, Kingston Jamaica

I just received a report from one of my On The Ground Reporters that a plane crashed at Rocky Point in Clarendon Jamaica. The plane registration is XB JMR and the aircraft is registered in Mexico.

It's a fixed wing multiengine aircraft which seats 12 persons. Information on the aircraft states that it is deregistered.  It is owned by J.M. Romo, S.A. de C.V.  which is located in Aguascalientes, AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico.

No information is available as to the mission of the plane in Jamaica. This matter no doubt will be investigated by the police and international law agencies might have an interest in this matter.

Reports are that apparently the captain and others on the plane have fled the scene. Based on the information obtained it seems that the aircraft actually landed on the beach. It is not known if it was an emergency landing or the intention was to land on the beach.

Initial information obtained so far indicates that nothing unusual was found on the aircraft. It is expected that the Civil Aviation Authority will be carrying out investigations. At this time it is reported that members of the JDF and the JCF are now on the scene and a large crowd has since converged on the area.

Note:
More Information obtained at 2021/01/23 2300 EST: Before security personnel arrived on the crash scene, persons in the area entered the aircraft and removed items. A door from the aircraft which was on the beach was also removed. Persons who were inside the aircraft where advised to stay at a safe distance from the aircraft since it was possible that it could explode. These warnings were ignored.

A video showing the inside of the aircraft showed that there were no passenger seats.

I always wondered if I was the only one who found this at least very curious. If memory serves me correctly our PM with a boyish and cheeky look on his face said "we know who you are". Just like the popular business man from montego bay at whose home an unprecedented large amount cash was found and he some how eluded the police and have not been seen anywhere in the whole wide world since
