Who Is Next, PM and Opposition Leader?

Government has moved swiftly to remove a member from their parliamentary ranks in the

Prime Minister, Andrew Holness

house due to public concerns about a video seen on social media. This video showed someone throwing some heavy blows on a female. What is not sure, is whether it was a fight or a beat up because all was not shown on the video.

There has been no confirmation of the identification of the persons in the video but the outcry has been strong for action to be taken against an MP whose name has been associated with this matter in the public domain. I wish the intensity of the outcry would be the same against all violence rather than just gender violence . I commend the move taken by the governing party but I would like the same move to be taken against those who are alleged to have questionable connections and those who are alleged to be involved in any forms of corruption. I support the idea that all political leaders before they serve, should sign a Good Character Agreement document. Leaders should answer questions such as, have you physically or emotionally abused anyone, have you used your position in a corrupt way to manipulate the system, do you have any close relationship with anyone in the criminal world for exmple?

There are question marks over the heads of some leaders when it comes to corruption and unethical behaviour. I am aware of a case where a female head of an organization was not allowed to enter a function that the organization was in charge of. I am still asking the question as to why did this happened?

The problem is,  if persons speak out you could end up being victimized. I am convinced that Jamaica will never be better until persons who display questionable behaviour are removed from positions requiring a high level of trust and good ethical behaviour.

Opposition Leader, Mark Golding

Congratulations Mr. Prime Minister, you have made the right move. Now you need to move a step further because there are enough persons to support you when you do what is right. Both the Prime Minister and The Leader of the Opposition must work to clean up this mess. We are in a mess and it is getting worse by the day.

Note: I am sure that immediate moves will be made to shut me up now. Many know that I have been around a long time and I know enough. Let me warn those who try to do that, that you will regret the day that you try to victimize me. The damage that you will do to yourself and others will be worse that the damage being done to the world by Covid-19.

Other persons need to take this as a cue and make their exit now and become independent candidate and eventually back to being an ordinary citizens. Jamaica will be better off by your action.
