The murders continue unabated on a daily basis in Jamaica. We hear plenty talk about the

types of violence and these days the hype is about gender violence. With all the talk and the SOEs, the murderers continue to wipe out our people one by one, two by two and more. Nothing seems to be able to stop these cold and heartless criminals. Criminals who should not have the right to live.

Today in Clarke's Town, Trelawny, a man nearing his 70, allegedly killed a girl who has not yet reached the age of thirty as yet. It is reported that the girl got pregnant for this man when she was 13 years old. Yes, 13 years old. This is a case of a child having a child. She eventually dropped out of school.

Let us think about this. If she dropped out of school, then the form teacher should have been aware that she had dropped out of school. The guidance councilor should have been advised for her to check on this child. The question is, was the guidance councilor advised and was action taken?  A report should have been made to the principal if the child was out of school for an extended period. Was the principal advised and did he take any action?

When a children drop out of school, then  the Education Ministry Regional officers should take up the matter and social workers ought to investigate what is happening in the schools. If all these persons did not do their work, then they all should be held accountable. At least the Principal should take responsible and told to pack his bag and go.

If this lady who was killed by her spouse got pregnant at the age of 13, did her parents or guardians report the matter to the police and if so what action did the police take?

Clarke's Town is a small rural town in Trelawny, where most persons are suppose to know one another. So, in this small community a child should not get pregnant for a tough old man and the whole community is not aware of this. Now all are shocked and crying with their crocodile tears streaming down their faces. 

We are indeed a bunch of hypocrites. You are telling me that there are church leaders, a parish councilor and an MP for the area and they were not aware of what was happening? 

Unless the PM directs that heads must role and this must never happen again without serious repercussions, then Mr. PM you should consider how effective you are as a leader and whether you can take this country out of this quicksand of crime and social disorder.

We got excited nationally about the video showing a male and a female involved in a fight recently. The nation in one big voice called for Mr. Wright to do the Right thing. Let us see if we will do the Right thing although it is not about Mr. Wright or once again we will get it Wrong. Unless this nation once again speak with one voice about this matter, then I come to the conclusion that it was never about Right or Wrong but about a political figure called Mr. Wright.

It is clear that Jamaica is falling deeper and deeper into decadence and social decay We seemed to be heading to become a failed state, and the nearly 2.9 million of us seem to be comfortable with the state of affairs. Just like in the past it will take a dramatic increase in gas prices for us to wake up. May the good Lord bless our men especially with some more testosterone, so that they will be able to stand up and help to put this country on a different path.
