| Driver not complying with request of police |
It is becoming too frequent where police office are being challenged by citizens. If citizens do not comply with the orders of the police, then the police is at liberty to use reasonable means to detain these citizens and arrest such citizens. Citizens who challenge the police like that should be prosecuted and have their day in court.
I hope that the officers have on their body cameras to film everything when they are on duty. One undercover police officer should also be there filming everything. Even if the police did not act appropriately the behaviour of those persons should land them a few days in prison at hard labour.
The police has given a citizen an order and I hear persons instructing the elderly man in the car not to comply. The behaviour of one woman in the video indicates that she has nothing at home to do.
The state cannot continue like this with citizens confronting police officers like that. Why not allow the officers to do their work and then you can go to to court to testify.
I heard a gentleman offering to stab a police in the face. Take another look at this video and remember what I said, "Jamaica is in trouble ....big big trouble.
I am reliably informed that the driver is not a licensed and registered taxi. Has this man been taking carrying passengers without complying with the legal requirements. If the taxi man carried any of those persons in that video and he met in an accident then there would be nothing for them to get from the insurance company. People of Portland you must be careful of which taxis you take.
The time has come when the officers need to have advanced training in marshal arts so that they can effectively subdue citizens with minimum effort. We cannot give over our country to mob control. If we continue like this then we are looking to having major anti-social behaviour in the near future.

I don't even have to watch the clip. I've lived those experiences for almost 14 years. People who don't even know what's happening will come on the scene and demand the police to " low" the man. Did you know that the fine for obstructing a transport authority officer is much more than obstructing or assaulting a police?
