| The Most Hon. Juliet Holness, MP |
Today is the birthday for the Most Hon. Juliet Holness, member of parliament , Deputy Speaker of the House and also wife of the Prime Minister of Jamaica.
She is the representative for the St. Andrew East Rural constituency. MP Holness is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Many saw her in a video which went viral, assisting members of her constituency when there was flooding in various communities. Many were amazed at her agility and her ability to get people working and assisting others during that crisis last year.
Note that there was a first for the parliament this year when she acted as Speaker of The House and her husband was making a presentation. Yes, the Prime Minister was on his feet in parliament while his wife was in the Speakers chair.
