Low Water Inflow Results In Dry Taps in Kingston and St. Andrew

The National Water Commission is advising that the Constant Spring Treatment Plant is now experiencing reduced production levels due to drop in inflows to the treatment plant which is a direct impact of the ongoing dry spell. Based on this overnight decline, the areas that are normally supply on a regulated basis are likely to experience low water or no water conditions throughout the course of today, Sunday, March 6, 2022. 

Customers are being assured that the NWC team is now monitoring the raw water sources and will make the necessary adjustments in a bid to improve water supply distribution within the next 4-6 hours - once there is a sufficient improvement in the volume of inflows. NWC will update further at 12 noon (midday).

Areas affected: - Constant Spring, Constant Spring Road and roads leading off, Oaklands, Constant Spring Gardens and Grove, Manning’s Hill Road, Crane Ave, Dunrobin Avenue (Dunrobin Acres, Dunrobin Courts) White Hall Gardens, Beverly Dale, Manning’s Hill Road, Whitehall Avenue, Sections of Red Hills Road and Calabar Mews, Havendale, Valentine Gardens, Meadowbrook, Queensboro and Roehampton and Hughenden and Sections of Molynes Road and Patrick City.

Several other areas may also experience low water or no water conditions:

Barbican Road and Old Church Road, Waterloo Road, Surbiton Road, Trafalgar Park, Sections of Hope Road, Kingsway sections of Hagley Park Road, Half Way Tree Road and roads leading off and Crossroads area.
