That's the weakness with our planning too short term guided by election 5-year terms. This kind of planning must not rest with political hacks. Planning should be for minimum 50 years.

I believe China for example have minimum 100 year plans.When they negotiate 35 year deals with you that's a well done economic belt and road hitman job. You have been had.  Take a look at the highway deal - they are going to end up with the highways, roads and perhaps the whole country.

Take a look at the rates and pick one increasing at a compound rate for 35 years. When those rates begin to hit home in an economy that has not grown 1% average in 40 years.  No Jamaican maintainance crew learning,  and all monies collected by China will make it.  The deals will have to lengthen to maybe 70 years. Thats a job well done by an economic hitman,

congratulations Ji jin Ping. Hush Jamaica  you have been complicit with inept,dishonest, selfish,  hustler politicians and intellectual mercenaries. The Jamaica people have been had by the China  Global Belt and Road initiative.

Any suggestions as to how to save Jamaica from de emancipation and the deepening and widening of economic dependence.

Emancipation cannot be about song and dance, fancy speeches, food and erotic behaviour.

Just a reminder that in 1838 there were 350, 000 slaves who became squatters.  No compensation not even a liveable space. So fast forward to 2022 PIOJ notes a third of the Jamaican population is squatting.

The 2% ancestory of indentured labourers mainly non black own 95% of the Jamaican economy.

The 98% of African ancestry own a measly 5%.

Are we really emancipated or Independent ask Hon Marcus Garvey "the blackman must do for himself what the white man has done for themselves". Wake up my people we have been sleeping.
