Sanitation Workers To Be Permanently Employed by the NSWMA!!!

One of the big news from the budget debate this year, is that sanitation workers will eventually be employed permanently by the NSWMA. This is one of the cruelest practice for many years in this country where we employ so called contract workers and we deny them certain benefits. Security guards, some postal workers and heads of a few organizations have been employed under similar conditions. I commend the government for this bold and historic move. This is one move which no one on the opposition side of parliament will object to I believe.

Abusers of The Elderly - Watch It.

Those who living with the elderly and are abusing them had better be careful because they could find themselves in trouble with the law. I am aware of reports of elderly persons who are not being treated properly. Some persons are just hoping for them to die soon to capture their houses.

If you are aware of elderly persons who are being abused by their relatives and/or other people, then send me a WhatsApp message to (876) 816-5216.

I am lobbying to have the government take on the responsibly for taking care of elderly persons who are unable to look after themselves and they have assets which can be used to finance maintenance.

I am once again calling on the banks to allow customers to have someone on their account as a contact person. In case something happens, and the bank is unable to contact the customer then the banks can make contact with the contact person on the account. This would certainly reduce the number of accounts in the banks with no one claiming these funds. Banks are operated by honest persons so I am sure that they will accept this suggestion.

Teachers and other Public Servants Step Up Demands for Increase Compensation

The country is at a difficult cross roads. A number of public servants need to be compensated at a higher level but the question is, can the nation afford it. Many want to see a stable economy with low inflation and growth in the economy. We need to find a way to assist the teachers such providing accommodation for new recruits to the teaching profession.

  3. Veron Derby you are doing fantastic work on your programme. You should be on one of the mainstream radio stations where your work would be recognized by a wider cross-section of the country. But then you may not be able to fix the multitude of evils in this country. Keep making your contribution. We appreciate you. Pls also continue to stand up for the elderly who for the longest time have not been shown the respect they are due. The same as with our children. It has got to end NOW
