Breaking News - Consumers Buying from Vendors Selling from Cockroach Infested Carts

Winston Maragh
Mayor of May Pen

The Mayor of May Pen Winston Maragh and his team have been working to clean up the town of May Pen. May Pen is facing serious problems with some vendors refusing to sell in the markets. Consumers have been encouraging these vendors by purchasing from them on the streets without realizing that they are putting their health at great risk.

We have noticed also that a few markets have been burned down and this has led to many persons convinced that these markets are set on fire because people want to sell on the streets. It is clear that many of us are helping to create mayhem and disorder in the country and those who mean our country good must not allow it.

  2. I believe the burning down of market have a lot to do with some of the vendor because they don't want to sell in the market they just want to do there own thing and the country can't run like that

  4. This is totally nonsense. Cockroaches live everywhere, even in the markets and homes, restaurants. If you know who burning down the markets, tell it to the police and blaming your constituents to compensate for your failures.

    1. Can Crab Circle and Harbour View Roundabout, as they are now, pass a health inspection test for food preparation and service?

HV roundabout eatery closed some years ago for reasons of airport operations. It can be shut down for public health.

  5. In some countries "everything move eat" so one way to reduce cockroach population is to allow humans to cook and eat ie cockroach menus, rat menus, cat menus ,mongoose and dog menus. The combination of amino acids called protein is in all of them. They can all be farmed for food so allow those who want it to go for it.

  6. I want to live in a Jamaica with no street vending so that health inspectors can do their job preventing cholera, leptospirosis and hepatitis and other dangerous diseases. They do not inspect the streets.

  7. You out there long enough to know "dem bun dung market fi get wrerk/work,enforce extortion etc.Which vendor a go bun dung market and stop their own food.
Markets and all places of food and other sales should not get licences to operate without sanitary conveniences and parking for a designated number of vehicles.
All of downtown Kingston has become a cesspool of nastiness.Do this exercise if you are at the intersection of Barry and Princess Street having a urinary or fecal emergency what do you do?.Ask someone the answer will most likely be
"tun back go up deh so an guh dung di lane".
Down town Kingston from Heroes Crab Center to the sea side is fast becoming a world class cesspool.
The only man it seems who had any functional understanding on how to have a clean city and country was a man who
" no politician singly or together will be able to equal or surpass his contribution to Jamaica".
All wannabee politicians must take some time out to dust off and study the late leaders plans.
Ask Peter Phillips or P J Patterson if they knew what Jamaicavwould look like without a Edward Phillip George Seaga or a Michael Manley. All aspiring politicians must study their works and holistic application of policies to solve socioeconomic and cultural challenges.
Missal Derby talk to we nuh.
