Vernon Derby |
First, thank you for your support during my time at Riddim FM, and I Thank Riddim FM's management for allowing me to serve Jamaicans locally and overseas.
SpotOn is moving to a new home, and that home is Omega KLAS FM.
It has been a great time serving you on the radio at Nationwide News Network with the programme 'At Your Service', and Riddim FM with 'SpotOn'. Those who have followed me long enough will remember me when I was at the now defunct JBC - Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation. At JBC, I participated in the radio play Flora Lee, hosted The Youth Rap, the Big Youth Horn of Plenty show, and did commentary on Derby's Corner.
Others will remember me from those days of my work in the Church in Trelawny, Manchester, and later on in Kingston as an organist.
I was also President of the Citizens Initiative Organization (CIO). The CIO lobbied for several changes in our country. I helped the bus operators to recoup approximately JAD75 million for faulty buses sold to them was a notable achievement. Nannyville's Residents now have titles for the homes. This resulted from lobbying on their behalf.
My journey continues, and your support is needed more than ever. Share this blog with your friends and families in Jamaica and the diaspora.
Let me know how you can assist by sending a WhatsApp message to 876 816-5261.
