THE COMPLEXITIES OF HUMAN BEHAVIOUR

Lois Grant

As I added years to my life's journey, I expected simplicity to become a constant companion. Yet, I'm increasingly fascinated by the intricate web of human behaviour. My son advises me to let things go as I think too deeply. But I'm drawn to understand these nuances.

Shouldn't age bring wisdom, refining our perspective? Have I nestled among chickens when I should be soaring with eagles? Is it that my education has linked learning and life, while others lag behind?

How can mature so-called educated individuals, guided by faith, harbour trivial thoughts? It's disheartening when religiosity dampens independent thinking. People wound you, yet hide behind pretence. Their unresolved feelings reveal more than words. Watch them pretend on FB with their comments, or no comments..lol

Once I was puzzled over why aging souls turn to animals for solace. Now, I see their simplicity and sincerity. Animals offer unclouded joy and communication.

Here's to embracing human quirks and finding solace in simpler connections. Let's learn from animals - where laughter knows no bounds, communication is pure, and judgment is absent. On this journey, I'll value both human complexity and the unassuming company of creatures who teach us about being genuine.

  1. Without a doubt animals take the complexity out of life. They are like children. Honest and genuine. So much could be learn if we took the time to study them.

    1. We were all children, honest and genuine. What has changed us inyo pretentious adults who mask our feelings with fake smiles and the adage "leave it to God"? I am not suggesting that we should do battle, but nothing is wrong with saying I am not happy with what has transpired and another saying I am sorry with genuine love. What world!

    2. I find growing old quite fascinating. Older does not necessarily make people wiser. There is no shortage of old fools all over the place. Wiser old people simply choose to avoid or advise old fools who have abandoned continuous learning. Continuous learning is avoided out of laziness or just can't being bothered by complex things.

Wise older people enjoy the companionship of pets. They don't talk rubbish, and don't back chat. LOL. They provide a source of exciting learning as they are profound thinkers and as such, are a great subject to study.
When you can understand animals it raises your wisdom to another dimension. Profoundly, you realize old fools and children knew the secrets of animals long before the the wizened ones start paying attention. That's when you realize life is a terminal disease and we will all just follow the path of our ancestors.
