Time for Jamaicans to Take United Stand Against Crime!

Min. Alando Terrelong
Minister Alando Terelong, the member of parliament for St. Catherine East Central, reports that 11 homes were razed to the ground by armed arsonists in his constituency. He described it as a senseless waste of property, More than 40 persons are now homeless, and innocent children have been traumatised because of terrorists. The MP says that he will continue to advocate for a permanent police post for the Gregory Park space. The security concern is real he said on his Twitter page.

The challenge is while a police post is needed in the area for immediate protection, these mercenaries are still at large. Even if they are caught and convicted, the rest of us are punished because we will now have to maintain them for a number of years.

Jamaicans need to unite and send a clear message as to what must be done to these gang members and their leaders. We are fast asleep!

It seems to me that many of us have become so accustomed to crime that it is no longer of concern to us! We only become agitated if it gets too close.

  3. The communities must once again act on behalf of each other, tell what they know. We cannot expect others outside of our communities to protect us if we are not willing to step up and assist ourselves.

  5. The police knows the gunmen in Gregory Park because they had a post there in 2021-2022. All they did was take the guns from these men and let them walk free. In return the officers allegedly sell these guns on the black market. They are perverting justice sending out person of interest list for innocent young men putting them in ID parade and have their friends identify them when YouTuber "One-stop news media" already plaster their photo all over the internet days before the ID parade labeling them criminal without any proof. People need real justice and not scape goats. This is perversion of justice, defamation and slander!!!!

  7. We really need to get more Camaras in the air connected to the JDF & JCF. We are always taking too long to do the right thing, especially when it comes to our people personal and immediate needs. However; as it touch Highways and Tourist Industry is always Getting the most attention. More than the basic needs of our lives. When are they going to really tactically tackle this monster that is really hurting our society? If we can not stop the lev
