Press Release From The National Water Commission - 2024/07/08:
The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising motorists travelling along a section of Gordon Town Road in St. Andrew to expect some delays in traffic flow. This is due to the clearing of blockages in the Hope Intake Channel running along side the roadway, as a result of land slippages.
The blockages have affected inflows to the Hope Filter Plant, causing water supply disruption to customers served by this system. The NWC is working to resolve the issue in the shortest possible time.
Normal traffic flow is estimated to resume by 8pm, tonight Monday, July 8, 2024.
Motorists are asked to exercise caution and patience while traveling along this route.
The NWC apologizes for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the understanding of the motoring public.
