I just received the following report from an On The Ground Reporter:
On Sunday September 15, Members of the Area 3 Ops team to include Sgt. S. Simpson along with Cons. D. Cameron, Cons. Jessica West and Cons. Shawn Atkins in service vehicle AHQ 212 driven by Sgt. Simpson were responding to an assignment where three suspects on a motorcycle were seen along the York Town Main Road.
On reaching a section of the York Town Main the vehicle picked up a skid, the driver lost control and the service vehicle overturned In a ditch on the right-hand side of the road heading towards May Pen.
The members were assisted by other members from the Area 3 team along with members of the Clarendon OST team led by Insp Campbell, to the May Pen Hospital where Cons. Jessica West was pronounced dead and Cons. Shawn Atkins was pronounced dead. Sgt. Simpson and Cons. Cameron is in a serious but stable condition.
So sorry to hear of the accident. My condolences to the family and the Constabulary Force. My prayers are with you all. Keep strong. 💪 ❤️
