What's Happening - September 27, 2024

Half Way Tree in Kingston is in a Poor State

Half Way Tree is not looking good. You remember years ago when we cleaned up the city and built archades for street vendors. We are now back at facilitating the selling on the streets  and building shopping stalls on the street. It looks terrible. Red Hills is not looking good as a result and so are other areas across Jamaica. We need order back in this country of ours - Jamaica Land We Love.

Mandela Park in Half Way Tree, at the gate on Southermere Road needs to be cleaned, a reader writes.

Demonstrations and Burning of Material in the Road

There was a demonstrations on Waltham Park Road today. I understand that persons were demonstrating against the pot holes on the road. Things are getting heated because elections are just around the corner. Let me remind Jamaican's that you must stand up and fight for  what is right and what needs to be done for your country, but when you hurt the country you are hurting yourself and the rest of us. Why oonu a bun tyre eena di road fa?

There is definitely no need to self-destruct and light fires to damage the same roads that we drive and walk on. You cannot cut off your nose to spite your face.

Preparing to make more potholes while demonstrating against potholes.

New potholes being born - complements of the demonstrators.

No Water Coming - NWC

Lodge is a district in St. Ann and they have been without water for about three weeks now. I would love to hear from the councillor. Mr. Mathew Samuda can you push some fire under the tail of the parish councillor for the division. Tell him that no water could mean no votes!

We don't want MP Shahini Robinson to be turning in her grave now. Mr Samuda you could be the next big man in town - sorry that rural area of St. Ann.

  2. It's Waltham Park Road. This has been so for awhile. Persons started dumping garbage in the hole but when I reported it on the radio they cleared the garbage and put Marl in it. It broke out again during the heavy rain this week.
