When The Girls Start To Compete With The Boys!

In my time at school, you would not find ladies doing this! At this height she is completely exposed. No problem because she does not care and the boys don't care either. What a life! We are in big trouble.

What it was like before

Thanks to the Bark Di Trute supporter who brought the challenge to me.

Who is in Charge of Emancipation Park in Kingston?

This On The Ground Reporter went to the Emancipation Park Office recently and a about 12 noon the light on the office building was still on. The question is, who pay for this? It probably is still on. No wonder we are a poor country! I wonder if they have repaired the walking track as yet. They probably don't have any funds to do the work!

Students and Their Disgraceful Behaviour - Who Will Deal With it?

We can foretell the future by just looking at our young people. There must be a plan to deal with this or else our murders will move to 3,000 or more annually! The parents and adults are failing the young people.

  1. The only good thing about such disgusting behavior by that young girl, and by extension what looks like an adult woman.
Is that the police should have no problem. In identifying all who should be charged.

  2. Some parent just a waste money send some children a school the gal drop off her uniform in the road and run down the other one to fight her I wish she did have something in her hand to defend herself and let her parent planning funeral for her now

  3. It seems the boy got involved in the fight to save the girl who was being attacked. The woman who then attacked the boy is a disgrace. She should have sought to break up the brawl, not escalate it. I keep saying REPEATEDLY, but I can't get anyone to listen, for the 1st month or ideally, the 1st term of the school year, have no classes and concentrate strictly on a resocialization programme. If a child chooses to be absent from school and miss the time, then he/she would still need to do the resocialization sessions before being allowed to attend any classes.

Resource persons can be trained to deliver the sessions. The contents of this programme should also be taught at teachers colleges to help in reinforcing the message. The resocialization programme would help in preparing a proper foundation for learning as it is possible that teachers would now have less disruptive behaviours to contend with.

The only way we can save our young people and save our country, is through resocialization. Very few children are benefiting from home training and whilst they're a captive audience at school, you have possibly they only opportunity to reach them and to impact them. No use saying it's the parents job to teach their kids certain things and leave it at that. Some parents just don't know better. In fact, another component of the programme would be to have a resocialization programme in communities.

Vernon, do you think that this is a message you could pass on to the powers that be? I have tried but....

  4. Vulgarity seems to be the "new normal". Daily life for some people is just a circus! When we behave like this it puts us in the same category as untrained animals!
..How can we rediscover our moral compass?
    ...Boot camps...no less!

  6. The nation's children are perishing for a lack of guidance. Adults in authority often make reckless statements that have empowered the young and at the same time disempowered the adults, leaving them feeling helpless.

Children are not adults. They are being given too many rights without responsibilities. It doesn't work like that.

This situation can only be resolved when children are taught what it means to be children as well as their responsibilities as children. The adults must also learn their roles. As long as they are not breaking any laws, they should be free to discipline their child as they see fit.

  7. The police should view the video and identify the aggressors, particularly the adult woman who joined the fracas, and appeared to have a machete in her hand. The children involved need to get ongoing counseling to develop dispute resolution skills. The woman should have charges laid against her for physically abusing the young boy who attempted to protect the girl from her aggressor. If she is allowed to get away with it, she will certainly repeat the behavior , which could result result in outcomes which cause us to weep.
