Sean Kingston and his mother Janice Turner |
Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were found guilty on all charges Friday evening in their luxury fraud scheme trial. Turner was taken into custody after the verdict. Prosecutors accused Kingston and Turner of orchestrating a scheme to obtain high-end items—including a luxury SUV, jewelry, expensive watches, and a wall-sized TV—without paying for them.
In May, the Broward Sheriff's Office raided Kingston's home in Southwest Ranches, Florida, as part of the investigation.
Sean Kingston is a Jamaican-American singer, songwriter, and musician, best known for his hit songs like "Beautiful Girls" (2007), "Fire Burning" (2009), and "Take You There" (2007). His music often blends reggae, pop, and R&B influences, and he gained fame with his laid-back, catchy style. Kingston was born on February 3, 1990, in Miami, Florida, but he grew up in Kingston, Jamaica.
