Breaking News - Situation Escalates at St James High School

The reports from St. Jame High School indicate that several teachers have called in sick. I have been unable to ascertain if the teachers are taking industrial action or not. One report said that the principal, Joseph Williams, has to be visiting various classes trying to maintain order in the school.

If the attendance of teachers continues to decline during this week, then the lack of supervision could pose a serious risk for the students.

The Minister of Education, The Honourable, Dr. Dana Morrison, Senator, needs to act now. External examinations are just around the corner, and the challenges that the organization is facing at this time could have an adverse impact on the students' performance.

  1. That's what you get when you mix too much politics with education

    1. It is putting a square peg in a round hole. Nothing is wrong with politics. It is the people that something is wrong with.

  3. What is sad is that the people sit down and don't care!

  4. What is the desired outcome of the Ministry of Education? I believe that they have a desired outcome and will not act until it occurs. Sad indeed, when we have a school meeting rural children's needs and it's allowed to flounder because the Ministry of Education is awaiting a desired outcome.

  5. The ongoing tragedy of this standoff caused by a board and Ministry of Education who obviously couldn't care less about poor people's education is the adverse effect same is having on the student's preparation both for their internal and external examinations. Should innocent students perform not as best as they should because of this madness,

    1. The blood of the students who underperform in their upcoming examinations will be on the hands of the board and the Ministry of Education and by extension the ruling government.
