The situation with road accidents in Jamaica is concerning. The lack of civility and respect among drivers is alarming. Instead of focusing on resolving issues, some drivers resort to using derogatory language, which can escalate tensions and create more problems.
ReplyDeleteIt's essential for drivers to prioritize safety, respect, and accountability on the roads. Acknowledging faults and taking responsibility can help prevent further conflicts and promote a more constructive approach to resolving issues after accidents.
Perhaps promoting road safety awareness and encouraging drivers to adopt a more respectful and responsible attitude could help mitigate these issues.
I believe if cameras were strategically place the government would be able to collect tons of revenues from these poor users of the road. Namely bypass from Jose Marti going towards Old Harbour round about in the evenings motorists create a middle lane and one each on both sidewalks. Many times have seen vehicles head to Old Harbour take to the side walk of the opposite of the road. Unbelievable. Maybe some serious ticket fines and possibly revocation of license would wake up these motoist.
