I have received support from several people regarding how the Prime Minister should be addressed. This matter needs attention from those who are responsible for the national protocol.
The consensus from some of my supporters is that the Prime Minister should be addressed as The Most Honourable, Dr. Andrew Holness, ON, PC. The reason given is that one should not put any other title before the national title for the Prime Minister.

ReplyDeleteIf he were a medical doctor, he would have been addressed as The Most Honourable Dr...as all other medical doctors in the house are addressed Honourable Dr. All with PhDs are addressed Dr The Honourable/Dr The Most Honourable, not just the PM. This is more than addressing the PM, national protocols...and I suspect most likely across the British Commonwealth.
