Bad Driving on Our Roads
The bad driving continues, the accidents on our roads continue, and we continue to collect millions for speeding on our roads. The bad driving incurs higher penalties, and higher penalties mean more revenue for the coffers, and the deaths continue. Dr. Lucien Jones's new occupation is Traffic Incidents Statistical Officer.
I just received a video showing that this accident occurred today on the Edward Seaga Highway.
Do you have any information on this accident? Mark my words, if appropriate steps are not taken to deal with incidents on our roads, especially with tankers carrying fuel, then a catastrophe is waiting to happen. It has happened before.
The Governor General
People have been asking me about the state of the Governor General's health. I know that the Governor General had some health issues in the past. The challenge is that this Governor General is known by few Jamaicans.
If you should go on the street and ask a few people who the Governor General of Jamaica is, you will get a blank stare. Can we get an update on the Governor General, and can anyone say if he is on pre-retirement leave?
Bomb Threat
I just got a report that there was a bomb threat at a business place in Portmore called Centre Field. Are you aware of this incident? If you do, please send me information about this matter to (876) 816-5261.
Bomb threats should not be the way to deal with issues. If there are challenges at the workplace, then it is possible that you need union representation.

Entrance of Emancipation Park |
Oh no, this is not Barry or Princess Streets Downtown, Kingston, Jamaica. This is the front entrance to the Emancipation Park in New Kingston, which is the business district of the capital.
Give this a few more months, and uptown and downtown will be one nasty town.
It is amazing how we continue to argue about the Integrity Commission, getting rid of the UK Privy Council, and getting rid of the King as our Head of State, yet we cannot get rid of this nastiness!!!

First it was Downtown, then Cross Roads, New Kingston, Half Way Tree. Everywhere in Kingston and St. Andrew is a mess. Jamaicans have no sense of pride. We just walk and throw garbage on the streets even when there is a garbage bin right in front of us. No sense of pride. The males urinate wherever they want. No sense of pride. Nastiness is the name of our game. We are a sad, sad Country. No sense of pride.
ReplyDeletePlease be mindful of when you say the word WE. Most Jamaicans are clean and decent people and do not litter anywhere at all. Vendors are to be blamed most time for littering and not cleaning up after themselves.
