PNP Will Show It's Strength Tomorrow!

Jamaica's Opposition Leader, Mark Golding

The 72-hour ultimatum given to the JLP government to deal with the PNP's concern about the appointment of Dennis Chung to head the FID will expire on Monday, June 2, 2025.

Messages have been circulating to encourage people to support a massive demonstration planned for Monday, June 2. The main demonstration will be at the Heroes Park in front of the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service. I understand that there will be demonstrations across the island.

The PNP has seen a surge of support over the past year, and tomorrow could be the day when the party flexes its muscles to show that it is a government in waiting. I was told that all efforts are being made to make this a national show of PNP strength.

We hope that the police will be putting things in place to ensure that there are no political clashes during the demonstrations.

The following is a statement issued by the Opposition Leader, Mark Golding. The poster says the demonstration will start at 8:30 am, but the leader says 9:00 am. Motorists will have to be careful that they do not get caught up in the traffic at Heroes Park on Monday.

A massive show of strength could force the government to call the national elections soon. The question is, will Dennis Chung's appointment be short-lived?

  1. This is disheartening to hear that a privileged British subject in Mark Golding can bring a nation to it's knees....this is another case of one cannot offer the people bread give dem a circus demonstration...the jlp and the pm are behaving like political neophytes

  2. Everything good the JLP try to do the bad mind PNP them try to tear it down. The same thing happened with the DPP. They are a set of none-entity and must go sit down and cool themselves. They need some good teargas tomorrow to cool them off. During the 18 years they were in power, nothing happened in the country. Mark Golding must go to England and find someone to chain-up and see what would happen to him.

  4. People, please be mindful that the JLP would be latching onto anything and every opportunity to destabilize the PNP if they were the opposition.
That is what opposition parties do.
What Jamaica needs to do now.
Is to show their displeasure with there behavior at the BALLOT BOX.
We can't allow jamaica to return to the days when all that used to happen is for an incoming party to revers the good things that the ruling party had in place.
Jamaica is moving in the right direction let your vote ensure that it ccontinues for the betterment of Jamaica and the jamaican people.
